I am pleased to announce the new version of Krento. After almost one year of development the Krento 3.0 is available for download. As always it's free and without any built-in ads . Krento 2.1.1098.25 is available for download. I officially confirm that this is the last available release of Krento 2. The work on Krento 3.0 is almost finished and I do not plan to update Krento 2.1 anymore

Krento 2.1 is available for download from http://users.telenet.be/serhiy.perevoznyk/manual/download.html . In this release I added the possibility to select the style of the manager window. You can choose between the classic layout with the stone caption in the middle of the manager window or the new style with navigation buttons (more practical for netbooks and tablet pc). The seletion of the style can be done via the advanced settings dialog. Do not forget to restart Krento to apply your changes. Krento 2.0.176.11 is out and can be downloaded from http://www.krento.net What's new in this release: New way of activating the application ring: just keep right mouse button pressed for 0.5 sec Added   ActivateCursor option to Krento.ini file. When Krento is activated via keyboard the mouse cursor is not moved the the application ring center, but stays in it originan position Added "Select Circle" menu item to the main Krento menu for more easy circle selection without going back or forward  through all existing circles Updated Krento translation New way of  the Application Ring selection. When pressing the Ctrl + Tab keyboard shortcut the new ring selection dialog appears: Using Tab key while keep pressing the Ctrl key is possible to select the desired application ring (similar to the task selection in Windows using Alt + Tab keys).

New version of Krento is available for download from http://www.krento.net This time not only x86 and x64 versions are available, but the special Itanium edition as well: http://users.telenet.be/serhiy.perevoznyk/download/krentoi64_setup.exe There are few bugs fixed: * Invisible controls focusing in the options dialog * Setting of the working directory for the executables * Relative path to the target for the portable edition All these problems were reported via Krento Support Forum http://krento.eamped.com   To solve the problem with relative paths in the portable version of Krento I introduced the new environment variable %KRENTO_DRIVE% that points to the current USB drive from which Krento is running. Now you can specify the name of the file like %KRENTO_DRIVE%\AIDA\aida32.exe. If your USB drive has the drive letter F: assigned, for example, then %KRENTO_DRIVE% value is equal to F: (without backslash).

Krento 1.6 released and available for download from http://www.krento.net Krento is a widget engine that supports 3 different types of widgets. One type that can do small, but useful actions, like launching applications, named "Krento Stones", another one that has more decorative purposes named "Krento Toys". "Krento Toys" are similar to Google Gadgets or Windows Sidebar widgets. This naming convention helps to avoid misunderstanding when downloading and installing different types of Krento widgets. In addition Krento supports RocketDock docklets , but places it directly to the desktop the same way as "Krento Toys". Это сообщение я решил написать на русском языке, так как оно предназначается для русскоязычных пользователей Krento. Вышла новая версия Кренто 1.4, которая доступна для скачивания с www.krento.net . Начиная с этой версии Кренто становится интернациональной с возможностью поддержки дополнительных языков интерфейса. Первым дополнительным языком, который поддерживает Кренто я выбрал русский. В дальнейшем предполагается поддерживать все языки, которые будут востребованы пользователями и для перевода на которые найдутся добровольцы. Выбор языка осуществляется в окне настройки: После смены языка необходимо перезапустить Кренто, чтобы изменения вступили в силу. Весь текст, который использует Кренто, хранится во внешнем текстовом файле в формате Unicode. Если Вы желаете изменить или улучшить перевод, Вы можете просто отредактировать файл ru-Ru.lng который хранится в папке Krento\Languages. The new version of Krento 1.3 is available for download from http://www.krento.net This is major update of Krento and I would recommend to uninstall any previously installed version before installing Krento 1.3 You personal data and application rings would stay untouched. This release has new setup with modern look, additional features and accurate work with registry The size of Krento was reduced almost twice even with all new features. The loading of the application rings was improved. Krento keeps applications rings history and can navigate between the rings using context menu or Ctrl + B and Ctrl + F keys (to go back and forward). The registry access was reduced (portable edition does not use registry at all). Also all operations performed now without using Administrator rights even if Krento is running under Administrator account.
